Welcome!
As a professional, parent, and school social worker for over 30 years living in this fast-paced world I know all too well about life’s challenges while balancing the world of work with your personal and family responsibilities. This includes caring for yourself and being present for your family and aging parents. My goal is to help you feel more satisfied and at ease with your outlook.
I have also experienced the trials and tribulations of raising children. Some children in fact have complex needs because they have been identified as having ADHD, and/ or having anxiety, depression, and /or learning problems. I have learned that parenting is imperfect and if you have put forth your genuine best effort parenting is then a process more compassionately conceptualized as ‘Good Enough’.
If you feel stressed, preoccupied, defeated and concerned by any of the things that I have mentioned including a child who is not succeeding in school because he/she cannot focus, or is highly disorganized, or is preoccupied by social concerns or sadness you have landed on the right page.
After obtaining a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work from New York University and having participated in many continuing education seminars in EMDR, Emotional Freedom Technique, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Grief Work, Mindfulness and Acceptance Techniques and Parent Training for ADHD, I have become a specialist working in these areas with adults, teens and children.
Compassionate Psychotherapy to Help You Feel
Confident, Peaceful and On the Correct Path
You have also landed on the right page if any of the following resonates with you:
Are you worried about the quality of your relationship with your child or other family members?
Are you still searching for your life partner?
Are you frequently in conflict with other co-workers?
Are you struggling with healing after a loss whether through death or marital infidelity?
Are you unhappy because sometime long ago you forgot that you also have needs which must be met?
Have you tried to solve problems in your life on your own and realized you need help from someone else?
I’m confident that together we can work to equip you with the necessary tools to help you face and overcome these challenges. I have the experience to help you achieve your goals, overcome struggles, and live a more fulfilling and meaningful life.
